Fun in the Sun

We spent the past week in Florida. The weather was beautiful and we had a blast! It was so hard to come back home to cold weather.

Tuesday our flight left at 5:55 am. We got into Orlando at 10am. Patti picked us up from the airport and Chuck looked at their vehicle they have in Florida. The brake line had rusted. AAA came and towed the car to the mechanic and we took off to Cape Canaveral to meet Scott, Katelyn, and Isabella. We had lunch at Ron Jon's and hung out for the rest of the day while their vehicle was getting fixed.
That night we headed back to Orlando to drop off the rental car and Scott got a place for us to stay in Orlando for 3 nights. We could believe our eyes when we walked into the room. It was a one bedroom condo with a very open floor plan. There was a window between the bedroom and kitchen and then there was a cut out so you could see the bathroom also. They only thing that was closed off was the toilet.

Wednesday morning while Scott was trying to get us a different room we took them to see our timeshare in Orlando. They had just built a new swimming area so we wanted to check it out. We ate lunch at the resort and then Chuck and Scott went back to switch rooms while Patti and I took the girls swimming. Later that afternoon we went to Epcot to celebrate New Years Eve. The park was pact. The lines for the rides were at least an hour and a half wait. We walk around from Country to Country. At 6 o'clock Disney handed out hats and blow horns. I don't think giving thousands of people blow horns were that great of an idea. It became very loud and annoying very fast and it never stopped. We left the park at 11:30 and got back to the condo just in time to see the fireworks from our balcony.

Thursday we spent the day around the Disney shopping area and saw the movie bed time stories.

Friday we went back to Cape Canaveral and spent the day swimming at Ron Jon's.

Saturday we spent the day at the ocean and walked the pier for lunch.

Sunday we spent the day swimming at Ron Jon's again and left that night to come back home.

It was nice to take a break from work and play for a while. We couldn't have asked for better weather or a better trip.
